Triple win weekend
All 3 sides won
their games at the weekend.
The 1st
XI picked up their first win with a 20 point haul
at Newark. Zak Briggs top scored with 40 whilst Nadeem Ghani
and Abdul Hasib both scored 34 in Wilsons 183-8 from 45
overs. Newark were bowled out for 125 with Umar Hussain
taking 4-21. This followed defeat in the first game of the
season at home to Fiskerton.
The 2nd
XI made it 2 out of 2 in division K beating Clifton
Village III by 8 wickets. Clifton were bowled out for 117
with Kish Patel taking 5-8 and Jamie Bowns 5-33. In reply
the 2nds reached their target for the loss of just 2 wickets
with 15 overs to spare - Kish Patel completing a great all-round
performance with 41.
In week 1 the 2nds
scraped home against Keyworth II with just 3 balls and 1
wicket to spare! Chasing 128, Jeff Moore and Kish Patel
put on 60 for the 1st wicket but a late order collapse saw
the 2nds almost throw away a certain victory.
On Sunday
Wilsons played Southwell in the Newark Club Alliance league.
Wilsons scored 200-9 with Nadeem Ghani continuing his good
form with 76. Southwell were then bowled out for 145. The
previous weekend Rainbow were bowled out for just 54 and
Wilsons won comfortably by 8 wickets.
