Hi Tim,
Thank you and your groundsmen for all your hard work and permitting us to play today. The boys enjoyed the match and the venue. I have forwarded the match report for the website.

On a overcast day with a bit of rain in the air the game went ahead thanks to the work of Wilson's CC groundsman whose efforts had to be recognized.

In a match reduced to 22 overs City won the toss and elected to bowl first. Rushcliffe made 91 for 4 with captain Ben Shaw making 25 not out and vice captain Joseph Baker making 16 - both were supported well by Hayden Dudley 13 and Lucien Holiday 10. For the City Luke Fowler took 2 for 13.

City started their run chase brightly but it was Rushcliffe's fielding that changed the match when City batsman M .Young was brilliantly caught by Lucien Holiday - a great one handed catch which looked like it was going over him but some how he managed to hold onto to dismiss Young for 10. City continued to battle hard with Hamish Llewellyn making 19 and they wanted 35 of the last 6 overs but in the 19th over Stan Carter took 2 wickets including Llewellyn which finished City hopes and they finished on 69 for 8 in their 22 overs - Rushcliffe winning by 22 runs.

A good game despite the weather and our thanks to Tim and Wilsons CC for being excellent hosts.

Neil Dudley and Rosemary Dove - Rushcliffe District under 11 Coaches
